On Sept. 7, at approximately 4:38 p.m., deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department Rincon District responded to a bank robbery at 4752 East Sunrise Drive. The incident location was a branch of U.S. Bank within a Safeway store.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Robbery/Assault Unit responded to investigate. They learned from witnesses that a male individual had come to the counter and handed the teller a threatening note demanding money. He was given an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years old, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, thin built, with dark, short hair and light facial hair. He was wearing a white and green colored plaid shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or has any other information on the case is asked to call 9- 1-1 or 88-CRIME.
