Another week of working hard in the gym and eating healthy. Zach has stepped up my workouts and I can feel it for 2-3 days after each session! This week I felt it when I was folding laundry, and last week I discovered just how much triceps are involved with putting your hair in a ponytail! That was just upper body soreness!
I struggled one day this week as I had to bring a bucket of Eegees to a classroom. I had to watch the kids eat it, then the leftovers sat in the front seat of my van, calling my name. I LOVE Eegees! That was really a tough one, but I managed to keep self control and not have any. Tonight our Navajo friend made our family homemade fry bread. Talk about a huge temptation! My boys helped me out and said, "Mom, you cannot have this!" It was served with honey and powdered sugar. Such a hard one, but again I was able to say "no". If you know me at all, denying myself those two things is nothing short of a miracle! I figure that I only have this opportunity and trainer for one year, and I would hate to look back and wished I had used more self control with eating. I want to look back on this and say that I used every day of this year opportunity to lose weight and get healthy. I want to look back with no regrets. I want to look back and say that I gave it my all. I really want to meet my goal of losing 100 pounds, so there really is no room for Eegees or fry bread! So, I will march on, working towards getting healthier every day, one day at a time, one meal at a time.
