One week closer to the half way mark. I am one pound short of losing 50 pounds. I am very excited and hopefully next week I'll report good news. The last 2 weeks have been a good test for me. Last week my husband and I went out to eat twice and we went to a graduation party with lots of food. I ordered healthy meals, small portions, and ate dinner before the grad party.
This week we went to a barbeque (with lots of high calorie carbs) and my husband and boys went camping for 4 days. The "old" me would have eaten fast food and lots of bad food with no accountability here at home. I am so happy to report that I ate healthy every meal and I lost 5 pounds these last 2 weeks. I don't mean to brag, it just shows me that I am making great progress in the eating healthy department. If you know me at all, that is a HUGE change. It is becoming a lifestyle change and I am starting to WANT healthy foods, not just eat them because I have to.
On a funny note, I was very excited this morning because as I was getting ready for the day, I was looking in the mirror and I noticed my clavicle bone! I almost jumped up and down. It has been hiding under lots of fat for about 15 years. It is re-appearing!
