I am enjoying training for the decathalon. It is a different kind of sore, but I am still very sore! It is fun to have a specific goal in mind, and mixes things up as well. Zach is very competitive and of course wants all of his trainees to do their very best and come in first place in our age category. No pressure! He keeps pushing me harder than I could ever imagine going! I wish I had a video of my first few weeks in the gym to compare it. Although I am sure I would not want to be reminded of how wimpy I was! But, to see how far I have come is very encouraging and motivating. There is five more months to go, and I want to take advantage of every day, every workout, every healthy meal, and every pound lost. I am shooting ahead for the goal of 100 pounds lost. I want to have it off and be able to have Zach put me on a maintenance program. People are starting to say that I do not even look like the same person. I have had a hard time in the past accepting compliments, but now when someone comments on how great I look and how hard I must be working, I say, "yes, I am working very hard!" Because we all know that working out with a trainer is hard, and eating healthy is even harder! Good job to the other contestants in this challenge. You are all very motivating and doing such a great job!
