I never thought of myself as an accident or injury prone person, but I guess I was wrong. In addition to the knee that I hurt earlier this year, I have now sprained my right wrist. The good news though: I didn’t do it while exercising!
I decided to do some landscaping on our massively large, massively overgrown yard this last week and was feeling in my stride. After three and a half hours, it was time to call it quits. I took off my gloves to discover my wrist really swollen and tender. After about a week, ice, compression, ibuprofen, and some elevation, it hasn’t changed much.
I did go to the doctor yesterday to get an xray to rule out a compression fracture. Luckily, that’s not the case. They said it should take about two weeks to get back to normal. So in the meantime, I will focus on cardio and lower body.
Thing I learned this week: While I may feel more confident in my abilities and endurance, perhaps I should take it a little easier sometimes.
