Nominations are needed by Friday, July 29 for the 2011 Pinnacle Awards, given each year by the Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce to recognize business achievement and community contribution.

Awards for the Small, Midsize and Large Business of the Year, as well as the Legacy, Community Leader and Nonprofit awards, are being presented by the chamber at its annual meeting and awards breakfast Thursday, Aug. 25, at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador.

"We've simplified the nomination form to one page, and ask people to write a paragraph about a person or business they'd like to see recognized," said Dave Perry, chamber president and chief executive officer.

In addition to the business achievement awards, the Legacy Award recognizes individuals who have made long-term contributions to community well-being in Northern Pima County. Outstanding community service organizations are eligible for the Non-profit Award. "The Community Leader Award speaks for itself," Perry said.

Forms are available at www.the-chamber.com, or at the chamber office.

Breakfast is priced at $30 per person. Registration is available at the chamber office, 7435 N. Oracle, Suite 107; by calling 297-2191, by e-mailing events@the-chamber.com, by faxing 742-7960, or through the chamber's eventbrite registration feature.
