A new president and chief executive officer has been chosen by the Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
Ramon Gaanderse, chief executive officer of the Metropolitan Pima Alliance, begins his new position on June 23, according to a Tuesday release from the Northern Pima chamber.
He succeeds Jerry Bustamante, who left the Northern Pima chamber in May to lead the Chandler Chamber of Commerce.
Gaanderse has led the Metropolitan Pima Alliance for three years.
“Ramon will bring energy, dedication and political savvy to his new position, and the membership of the chamber will be assured of a seamless transition,” the release said.
“He’s a bright, energetic young leader,” board president Paul Kappelman said on Tuesday. “All of us are extremely excited about our future together.”
