From making meals to cleaning the home, Pima Home Care shows their compassion for people in need by serving them in a myriad of ways.

Owner Tina Gillette founded Pima Home Care, a locally owned and operated business, with the desire to care for those in need. Before starting the business she worked at two different clinics in Seattle as an office manager. Now a year later from opening Pima Home Care, Gillette has six employed caregivers who currently look after eight of her clients.

“The focus is primarily on in home non-medical care,” said Gillette. “We want to keep them in the home and not in the hospital for as long as possible.”

Care is extended to the elderly, new mothers, accident victims and those recently released from the hospital that need help. Help can include transportation, household needs, estate management, personal care or simply companionship.

“I ensure to get to know every client very well prior to giving the case over to a care giver,” said Gillette. “I understand the need and care my clients need and want to ensure that they get it.”

Services are not limited to a specific age requirement and start at $20 per hour, which can be covered by a client’s long-term care insurance. Pima Home Care serves the Tucson area but is Oro Valley based.

Two things that Gillette prides herself in with her business are that it is locally operated and the caregivers deeply care for her clients.

“The purpose of this job is to help people and I only hire people who share the same belief and passion,” said Gillette. “We are available at the drop of a hat and give personal and compassionate care.”

Gillette’s hope is that the business continues to grow so that she can help more people who are in need.
