Rosemont Copper has announced the following staff changes in Tucson:
David Krizek, PE, has been named Rosemont Copper's environmental manager. He brings more than 20 years of experience with various mine site closure, process improvement and environmental design projects. He will report to Kathy Arnold, PE, vice president of Environmental and Regulatory Affairs.
"David's leadership and ability to design and implement complex reclamation and mitigation projects complements the Rosemont Copper project team," Arnold said. "With our project starting soon, he will be a great asset to track and ensure our compliance with the myriad local, state and federal environmental permit design requirements."
Before joining Rosemont, Krizek served as Tetra Tech's principal civil engineer in Tucson, and has worked with Vector Arizona, SRK Consulting, BHP Copper, Inc., and with Engineering Technology International in the United States. Krizek has a bachelor of science degree in mining engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and serves as an advisory board member for the University of Arizona's Department of Mining and Geological Engineering.
A Professional Civil Engineer, he is active in the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Also, Rosemont Copper recently hired Diane Hozjan as the administrative assistant to the company's Engineering Procurement and Construction Management team.
In this new role at Rosemont Copper, Hozjan supports Rosemont Project Manager Patrick Glynn, and is responsible for all necessary correspondence, minutes, invoices and various reports. She also assists in document control, which requires her to log, distribute and collate documents and drawings to the engineers, contractors, and executive staff.
Prior to joining Rosemont, Hozjan's previous administrative assistant experience includes work at the following companies: Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery, Hanlon Engineering and Aker Solutions. In each of her past positions she was responsible for document control, weekly reports and project assistance. In addition, she also has experience working in media, real estate, dental and mining.
