Canyon Bank marking 10th anniversary
Canyon Community Bank is marking its 10-year anniversary.
The Northwest bank opened its doors Oct. 10, 2000, intending to "offer Tucsonans an option that previously did not exist; doing business with a locally owned and managed community bank that would deliver a high level of personalized service," a release said.
"It's hard to believe it's been 10 years," said Chuck Luhtala, president of Canyon Community Bank. "When we opened the bank 10 years ago we had one location and no customers. Today, we have four branch locations, many great customers and have become a significant contributor to our community."
The bank is hosting a barbecue for its customers on Thursday, Oct. 14, in the parking lot of its main branch at Magee and Oracle.
Chamber has its new office
The Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce has leased 1,441 square feet in an office building located at 7435 N. Oracle Road, just north of Ina on the west side of Oracle.
The landlord, RIW LLC of Tucson, negotiated a six-year lease agreement, according to a release.
The Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce, now located off Magee north of Ina, plans to occupy its new space this month.
