Kirkpatrick (Kapua) Conley has been named assistant chief executive officer of Northwest Medical Center Oro Valley.

Conley was most recently with the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where he ran the operations and physician services of the Genitourinary Cancer Center.

“Kapua has a demonstrated history of healthcare leadership excellence,” said Shawn Strash, chief executive officer of Northwest Medical Center Oro Valley. “The hospital and the Town of Oro Valley will benefit from his dedication and experience as we continue to grow to meet the community’s increasing health care needs.”

“I am very excited about joining the Northwest Medical Center Oro Valley team,” said Conley. “Contributing to the continued success of the hospital and the health and wellness of the community are my priorities.”

Previously, Conley was with Ochsner Health System in southeast Louisiana, and a digital consulting and software services company.

Conley earned his master’s degree in health administration from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at Tulane University, and a bachelor of science in management from the A.B. Freeman Business School at Tulane University.

He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Northwest Medical Center Oro Valley is a 144-bed, all private-room acute-care hospital.
