New Hires

• Thomas DuPlain was promoted to senior vice president, investment officer at A.G Edwards.

• Paula White joined the Tucson RealEstate.com team.

• Diana Galis has been promoted to president of InSpeech, Inc.

Announcements

• David P. Phillips has become a partner in Clifton Gunderson LLP, certified public accounts and consultants.

Phillips joined the firm in 2004. He has 27 years of experience, with specialties in auditing and consulting for federal, state and local government, non-profits, higher education, Native American entities, construction and real estate.

Phillips is a graduate of the University of Nebraska.

The firm has offices at 335 North Wilmot, Suite 300.

• Heurlin Sherlock Panahi announces the opening of its law firm at 1636 North Swan Road, Suite 200.

Bruce Heurlin, a former federal prosecutor, concentrates on investment abuses, SEC and IRS disputes, business and real estate litigation, white-collar criminal defense, and federal security clearance revocations.

Kevin Sherlock has 20 years of experience in business litigation and business and real estate transactional work.

Lisa Panahi is fluent in Spanish, formerly held an Arizona real estate agent license, and practices in the areas of business and real estate transactions and purchasing property in Mexico.

Eric McNeilus, a former Pima County public defender, practices in the areas of business, real estate, and securities litigation and criminal defense.

• Long Realty opened a new sales office in Catalina at 15883 N. Oracle Road.

• American Premier Insurance leased 867 square feet at 3275 W. Ina Road.

• Praxair Distribution leased 1,440 square feet at the Exchange Place Business Park at 1870 W. Prince Road.

• Arizona Family Therapy Clinic leased 1,425 square feet at 1661 N. Swan Road from DHS Property Investments.

• Arizona Academy of Leadership leased 9,000 square feet from Temple Emanu-El at 225 N. Country Club.

Distinctions

• Arizona State Credit Union received 11 national awards for its marketing campaigns.

• Tucson Coin and Autograph, 6470 N. Oracle Road, will offer a newly minted Arizona state quarter in exchange for a non-perishable food donation to the Community Food Bank.

 • TREND Report, a new real estate publication, recently has launched in Southern Arizona and will cover commercial and residential real estate.

• Jack Reesy will step down from the Trico board of directors on June 16 after 12 years of service.
