Mountain View Retirement Village turns 10 in April

Mountain View Retirement Village, 7900 N. La Cañada Drive, will celebrate its 10th anniversary in April. The facility will be offering daily community tours throughout the month with anniversary giveaways.

“I am so proud of this dedicated team of professionals who give 110 percent each day of their skills, compassion and energy to serving our residents,” said Paige Ryan, general manager of the campus for the past five years. “There is such a warm feeling of community amongst the residents and staff because everyone genuinely enjoys interacting with each other.

“We have been providing top-notch care, dining services, recreational programs and customer service for the past decade,” Ryan added, “and we will continue to do so well into the future.”

In addition to caring for residents, Mountain View Retirement Village plays an active role in the Tucson community. It is a member of the Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce, and its associates participate in the Toys for Tots and Tucson Community Food Bank drives each year.

The facility is one of three retirement and assisted living campuses in Arizona operated or managed by Century Park Associates. It is part of a continuum-of-care campus that also includes skilled nursing and rehab facilities Mountain View Care Center and La Cañada Care Center.

Wisc.-based Culver’s to open 2 Tucson locations

The Midwest-based Culver’s franchise will open two new restaurants in Tucson later this summer. Culver’s is an expanding fast-casual franchise system with 428 independently owned and operated restaurants in 19 states.

The restaurants will be operated by Kyle Kolsrud at 6905 N. Thornydale Road in northwest Tucson and Kevin Hart at 40 S. Broadway Place in mid-town.

The restaurants’ award-winning customer service is based on small-town, Midwestern values. Signature items include the ButterBurger®, (from the lightly buttered bun) made from U.S. beef, and fresh Frozen Custard, including the Flavor of the Day program.

In 2010, Culver’s was recognized by Consumer Reports in its “Best Burgers” poll and Zagat in its Fast Food Survey.
