Two Tucson physical therapy providers have merged.
Direnfeld Physical Therapy and ProActive Physical Therapy joined forces in late October. They'll continue to operate under the name ProActive Physical Therapy.
After the merger, ProActive's Northwest clinic moved into the site originally occupied by Direnfeld Physical Therapy. Bob Direnfeld, who owned and operated Direnfeld Physical Therapy for more than 20 years, remains as the clinic director for the new ProActive location.
John Woolf, owner of ProActive Physical Therapy, said the merger provides expanded services for patients of both practices. The new facility offers more space and equipment for therapy and more healthcare providers in the same Northwest area, he said in a release.
"In an effort to enhance our patients' experience, we constantly strive to improve our service and physical environment," Woolf said. "In that spirit, we are excited about an opportunity to do both."
The new Northwest ProActive clinic is staffed by three physical therapists, including Bob Direnfeld.
"Bob Direnfeld has a great reputation in Tucson for providing excellent care, and we consider ourselves fortunate to have the opportunity to partner with him," Woolf said. "He brings a tremendous amount of experience and wisdom to our organization."
ProActive has three locations in Tucson. It offers physical therapy outpatient services for post-surgical rehabilitation, pain management, health and fitness assessments, sports conditioning and nutritional counseling.
The new ProActive clinic is located at 2001 W. Orange Grove Road, Suite 114. The phone number is 520-742-7107. Appointments can be made by calling the clinic directly. The web site is www. proactivept.com.
