The Duct Tape Guys entertain, and nearly 450 exhibitors show what’s possible at the 37th annual SAHBA Fall Home and Garden Show, put on by the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association at the Tucson Convention Center.
“The show is so big, it takes four hours to see everything,” said public relations director Elaine Nathanson of Bolchalk Frey, the marketing, advertising and public relations company. “There is always something new to buy.”
The Oct. 10-12 home show is “the one place to find the latest in home improvement products and technology and ideas for outdoor living, plus entertainment and food,” a release said. “This is the place to find local assistance with whatever you need or want for your home.”
Exhibitors take up 350,000 square feet of space inside and outside the TCC. Show exhibitors specialize in windows, window treatments, shower and bathroom remodeling and enhancements, cabinets, flooring, pools and spas, tile and floor coverings, solar-powered ideas for energy savings, water treatment systems, kitchen makeovers, home loans and insurance, and fine arts and crafts.
The Duct Tape Guys are making their second Tucson appearance. They have been “evangelizing The Gospel of Duct Tape” since 1994, and have now published seven books and performed across the country and in Europe.
“These two ordinary guys have turned a common, humble household product into an over 3 million-copy best-selling publishing venture,” a release said.
“The crowd loved them two years ago,” Nathanson said.
SAHBA expects 30,000 people to attend.
