A Friday, Dec. 18 opening date has been slated for the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain, to include the hotel, all four restaurants, its spa and facilities.
Gates open to the public at 4 p.m. Friday, ready for business, according to a spokeswoman.
The 250-room, 850-acre project in the foothills of north Marana's Tortolita Mountains includes 27 holes of Jack Nicklaus Signature golf, a spa, four restaurants – CORE Kitchen and Wine Bar, Turquesa, Cayton's and Ignite, along with ToGo, with coffee, smoothies, gelato and other items — three swimming pools and a four-story, 235-foot water slide. It has 44,000 square feet of indoor / outdoor meeting space.
The Marana Chamber of Commerce is holding a networking reception at the new resort on Tuesday, Dec. 29, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Light hors d'ouevres, and tastings, a cash bar and a special behind-the-scenes tour are planned.
The Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain hosts the 2010 World Golf Championships Accenture Match Play Championship Feb. 15-21.
