Four airlines are adding or expanding service at Tucson International Airport, according to a release from the Tucson Airport Authority.

The additions bring the number of airlines providing service at TIA to nine, which collectively offer daily non-stop service to 15 destinations, a release said.

Delta Air Lines is adding a second non-stop flight from Tucson to Minneapolis on Feb. 12, with plans to fly through April 4. Both Delta flights are on Airbus 319 aircraft. Delta increased its flights between Tucson and Salt Lake City to four each day in December, and it flies nonstop daily to Atlanta.

Sun Country Airlines has resumed seasonal non-stop service twice a week to Minneapolis. It plans to expand to three flights a week in February, continuing through April 5.

American Airlines is adding an eighth daily non-stop to Dallas / Fort Worth in mid-February, flying through April. American has daily non-stop service to Chicago O'Hare.

Southwest Airlines added a second daily non-stop flight to Chicago Midway this week, flying through the end of March. Daily service to San Diego is expanding from three to four departures a day though March. Southwest offers daily non-stop service to Albuquerque, Denver, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Are you aware of the airline fees that you are paying for? The air travel industry in the United States is rapidly becoming known for collecting baggage and other fees. Delta Airlines is the biggest baggage fee collector of all airlines, and by 2014, it will be the first air service to collect $1 billion in luggage fees. Article source: Delta Baggage Fees.
