Don Boorse/Special to The Explorer, Cranes were used to hoist bridge girders into place on the Twin Peaks Interchange project on I-10 in Marana last week. Each girder is 120 feet long, and a transport truck and two pilot vehicles were used for each of the 60 girders. When it is completed, the Twin Peaks project is going to connect the Continental Ranch area of Marana across I-10 and the Santa Cruz River toward Dove Mountain.
