The Tee Up for Tots organization is hosting a benefit Saturday, May 21, to raise funds for the University of Arizona’s Steele Children’s Research Center.

The UA children’s center is comprised of physicians and scientists working to research causes and develop cures for childhood illnesses and diseases. As one of the nine prestigious Centers of Excellence within the UA College of Medicine, the organization’s goal is to advance medical knowledge to improve the health of Arizona’s children as well as children throughout the world

With music, dancing, raffles and a casino, the event is being dubbed “a fun night out.”

Tesoro & Vampyros Bonobos will provide live music.

The event will also include wine tasting and food, starting at 7 p.m. at Omni Tucson National Resort, 2727 W. Club Drive.

For more information, call 275-3733 or go online to www.teeupfortots.org.

Tee Up for Tots is a grassroots charity started by the parents of Courtney Zillman, who died of cancer at the age of four in 1999.

Jerry and Kathy Zillman have since dedicated their efforts to help other pediatric cancer patients and their families who find themselves in the same heartbreaking situation.
