Marana High School's award-winning dance team hosts and performs at the eighth annual Tucson Hip-Hop Show, this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 12-13, in the school's auditorium.

The event features some of the most talented dancers in Southern Arizona performing the latest styles of hip-hop, breaking and "popping/locking," a release said. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door.

Tickets can be purchased by contacting coach Jennifer Barton at 520-616-6400, extension 5630, by emailing her at J.P.Barton@maranausd.org, or through any of Marana High School's dancers.

The annual show will have 32 different crews, comprised of about 350 dancers, performing during the two-hour event at the school, which is located at 12000 W. Emigh Road.

"This event is an excellent opportunity for school dance programs, dance studios and individual artists to come together as a community to celebrate the arts through dance," Barton said in a release. "It also provides an excellent opportunity for the audience to show its support for these hard-working and talented young dancers."
