Burned conifers, still standing after the 2003 Aspen Fire burned large stands atop Mount Lemmon, loom over a June hiker on the Aspen Trail. Bright yellow columbine flourish in now-dry wash bottoms below Mount Lemmon's 9,157-foot summit.
