"Icons of Experience: An Anniversary Show," a celebratory exhibition featuring "the classical, yet mysterious and brilliantly moody oil paintings" of Arizona artist William Blomquist, is on display at Jane Hamilton Fine Art through Sunday, April 4.

Blomquist has been a featured artist at Jane Hamilton Fine Art for all 18 years she's been in the gallery business.

Blomquist describes his paintings as "glimpses of unfolding tales" that are "rich with riddles and symbols, and the human form, a release said.

Blomquist, a native Arizonan, is a former resident of Bisbee, Oracle and Tucson. He now lives in Yuma, where he teaches art at Arizona Western College.

Blomquist exhibits artwork nationally as well as locally, and is represented in the collections of the U.S. Army Art Collection of the U.S. Army Center for Military History, Purdue University, the University of Arizona, and in many private collections.
