Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance and Oracle Crossings Shopping Center present a free, family-fun weekend with Easter egg hunts and art displays this weekend, April 16-17.

The Oracle Crossings Spring Arts and Crafts Festival provides a great mix of family fun, local artist opportunities and businesses reaching out to the community.

“Art can build community and create successful partnerships,” said Kate Marquez, SAACA executive director, “and that’s what these unique collaborations represent.”

Join dozens of artists for a colorful Easter celebration at Oracle Crossings Shopping Center at Oracle and Magee roads on Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Browse through typewriter key jewelry from Corona Royal, recycled-designer clothing by Deb Adair, colorful and alluring wood creations from Bali and Border, handmade and painted drum designs from the Sierra Madre Mountains by Desert Drums and much more.

Attendees can collect coupons and win prizes through drawings with participating merchants, like Peter Piper Pizza, Carraba’s Restaurant, Sports Clips, Wild Birds Unlimited and College Nannies and Tutors. Many businesses will also host Easter egg hunts throughout the festival.

Merchants provide Easter eggs filled with candy to all children that come into the store with their Easter basket and prepare special drawings within their business for free services, products or gifts.

Massage Envy will turn walls into gallery space by featuring an artist in their business.

Children can create crafts and participate in games, balloon twisting and face painting, while parents visit merchants and shop for local artwork, during the family-fun weekend.

Oracle Crossings is a new shopping center located in Oro Valley, an affluent northern suburb of Tucson, and is anchored by Kohl’s, Sprouts and Home Goods.
