Bill Ganz and his Western Band, one of Arizona's best-known Western musical groups, close out the La Encantada Summer Concert Series this Friday, Oct. 2.
The concert starts at 7 p.m. in the lower-level courtyard of the mall. Guests may redeem their ticket stubs at La Encantada restaurants. Individual tickets cost $10 in advance and $11 the day of the show.
Ganz is a Tucson legend. He's performed on the Tucson music scene for 28 years and is a member of the Western Music Association. Bill has taught private guitar instruction for 25 years and continues to maintain a full student base at Guitars Etc., in Tucson.
The band plays classic music inspired by the Southwest and the cowboys that made the music legendary. Ganz is joined by Ralph Gilmore on drums and vocals, Rich Brennion on pedal steel guitar, and Bill Ronstadt on bass and vocals. They'll play an assortment of favorites and well-known ballads for the audience, among them "Tumbling Tumbleweeds," "Cool Water," "Riders in the Sky," "Red River Valley," "Don't Fence Me In" and "Happy Trails."
The concerts are presented by the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance.
