The 18th annual Tucson Jewish Film Festival will feature unique documentaries and award-winning films from around the world.
The festival will run Jan. 10-22, Feb. 15 and 22, and March 1 at the Tucson Jewish Community Center, The Loft Cinema and UA Gallagher Theater. Moviegoers will be treated to special guests, music and free popcorn at every movie.
Back by popular demand is the Opening Night Comedy Extravaganza, featuring a live comedy performance by Lisa Geduldig and a screening of the film “Noodle,” a touching comic-drama of two humans who accompany each other on a remarkable journey. The film will be followed by the Kung Pao Kosher Ori-yenta Dessert Reception.
The evening event Embracing Special Needs Through the Arts features “Praying with Lior,” a tender documentary film about a boy who has Down syndrome, followed by a discussion led by director Ilana Trachtman.
Ticket prices range from $9 to $18 and can be purchased at TucsonJewishFilmFestival.org, at the Jewish Community Center, 3800 E. River Road, or by calling 299-3000.
