MasterWorks offers ‘early bird’ ticket discounts

Discounted subscriptions to the 2011-12 Tucson Symphony Orchestra MasterWorks Chamber Orchestra Series are on sale through April 15. Individual tickets will be sold after July 1.

Scheduled concerts include masterpieces from Bach, Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Beethoven played at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 7575 N. Paseo del Norte.

Southern Arizona Art and Cultural Alliance will host the St. Andrew’s performances, and subscriptions purchasers can email pat@saaca.org for more info.   

Concerts begin at 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. pre-concert chat, programmed by Tucson Symphony Orchestra Musical Director George Hanson.

The season includes:

Nov. 4: Outside of the Bachs.

Jan. 6: Variations on Tchaikovsky, featuring Mark Votapek on cello.

Feb. 3: American Portraits, featuring Stephen Seifert on the mountain dulcimer.

March 3: Mozart & Beethoven, featuring Laura Stoutenborough on clarinet.
