Tucsonans may have packed up their holiday decorations and moved on to the new year, but many homeless animals are still waiting for their holiday celebration to begin.
Last November, the Humane Society of Southern Arizona kicked off its Home for the Holidays program, inviting compassionate individuals, families, groups, schools and businesses to sponsor homeless dogs and cats in need. Thanks to these generous supporters, HSSA has 75 sponsored animals eagerly awaiting families at a reduced adoption fee of $50.
By sponsoring a pet at the shelter, Home for the Holidays’ supporters cover a portion of the cost of care for their selected animal and help promote that pet by reducing its adoption fee. Sponsorships last until the pet is adopted.
Each dog or cat in the Home for the Holidays program comes with a full adoption package, including a microchip, vaccinations, sterilization surgery, a bag of food, a leash or carrier, and a free visit to the veterinarian of their choice for only $50!
The HSSA hopes animal lovers will consider making a homeless pet’s life joyous, merry and bright for years to come.
Visit the HSSA today so that a feline or canine companion may spend every holiday from here on out in the comfort of a loving home.
Humane Society of Southern Arizona’s main adoption center is located at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd. The HSSA also has adoption centers and pet boutiques at La Encantada at Skyline Drive and Campbell Avenue in northwest Tucson and Park Place Mall, 5870 E. Broadway Blvd. near Wilmot in central Tucson.
