Ballet Tucson will perform “The Nutcracker” Dec. 22-24 at Tucson Music Hall, 260 N. Church Ave., in downtown Tucson.
Tickets can now be purchased for the holiday favorite. They cost $25–$54 for general admission, $20–$44 for seniors, children and students, and $15–$27 for groups of 10 or more.
Tickets can be purchased through the Tucson Convention Center ticket office, by phone at 800-745-3000, at Ticketmaster.com, or at Ticketmaster outlets.
The classic story of “The Nutcracker” centers on young Clara, who receives an unusual gift on Christmas Eve from her Uncle Drosselmeyer. Magically, the Nutcracker transforms into a handsome prince and takes her on a fantastical journey in a single night.
They battle giant mice, travel through a land of swirling snowflakes, and visit a spectacular kingdom with confections of every kind – bonbons, candy canes, marzipan, Spanish chocolate, Arabian coffee, and Chinese tea.
Now in its 26th season, Ballet Tucson’s professional company of dancers presents dance productions with a full range of historic classics and contemporary works.
In addition, its children’s company of more than 75 perform alongside Ballet Tucson’s professionals in full-length family-oriented productions, such as “The Nutcracker,” “Cinderella,” “Sleeping Beauty” and “Swan Lake.”
