Saturday's final Theater in the Park summer show in Marana explores "the relationship between Hollywood cinema and the Broadway stage," a release said.
"Broadway Cinema" is the final presentation this Saturday, Aug. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at Crossroads at Silverbell Park in Marana. The Arizona Rose Theatre Company and the Town of Marana have offered free theater this summer. Vendors are selling refreshments.
Saturday's performance celebrates hits like "Chicago," "The Producers," "Hairspray" and "Grease!" Live stage performance is being accompanied by various film clips shown on a movie screen.
Local flamenco dancers provide the opening entertainment. Luke Howell, a local independent film director, screens a short film.
"We hope everyone can come out, bring a blanket or a chair, ready to have a good time," the release concluded.
