"Kitchen Music" is the next program in the Tucson Symphony Orchestra's "Just for Kids" series.

There are two performances — 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6 — at the Tucson Symphony Center, 2175 N. Sixth Ave., one block south of Grant.

A third performance, "Rubato the Rattlesnake," is being presented at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 6 at the Sahuarita Town Hall.

"Just for Kids" is a popular series of fun, informal, interactive chamber ensemble concerts lasting 45 to 50 minutes, a release said. The performances use humor, story-telling, demonstrations and participation to introduce classical music and orchestral instruments "in an entertaining and kid-friendly environment to families including those with very young children."

"Kitchen Music" is created by the TSO Percussion Ensemble. "Music can be made everywhere … even in your own home," the release said. "Discover the music hidden within the walls of your kitchen as the TSO Percussion Ensemble cooks up a yummy recipe of sounds."

Admission is free, with a suggested $3 per person donation. For more information about the Tucson Symphony Center Just for Kids program, call the TSO box office at (520) 882-8585 or visit www.tucsonsymphony.org. TSO Box Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"Just for Kids" programs are presented on the first Saturday morning of each month from October through April, with a break in December. There is ample free parking at the Tucson Symphony Center.
