We live in a beautiful community but the weak economy has made the past few years very difficult for many of our families and residents. I have firsthand experience working on and implementing solutions that make a real difference in people’s lives. I want to take that knowledge and experience to the state legislature and improve our community even more.

I was born and raised in Tucson and attended public school in the Amphi School District. My parents were both teachers in TUSD district while I was growing up. I earned my Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Arizona. I have worked on economic development for the City of South Tucson, were we able to attract new businesses, reduce crime and increase affordable housing. I have worked as a council aide for the City of Tucson and understand the needs of our community. I currently serve as the Executive Director of a non-profit. We helped over 700 people with disabilities find meaningful work last year.

I will work hard for Tucson in the legislature and make sure that we receive our fair share of state resources. We cannot allow the leadership in Phoenix to ignore our region just because we do not live in Maricopa County. It is very important for our city to have representatives from both parties standing up for Tucson in the legislature. If there are not any Republican representatives from our city in the legislature, we risk being shut out of the process when crucial decisions are being made about the state budget and how resources will be allocated. I will work closely with other elected officials from both parties to make sure that our local needs and issues are addressed in the Arizona House of Representatives.
