Ann Kirkpatrick is honored to announce the endorsements of law-enforcement leaders across Arizona's Congressional District 1 -- sheriffs or county attorneys from Apache, Coconino, Gila, Greenlee, Navajo, Pima and Pinal counties. Kirkpatrick has already received the endorsement of the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police.
Here's what some of them had to say:
Navajo County Attorney Brad Carlyon: "Ann was a tough prosecutor and a tough congresswoman. She knows how to get the job done, and that's what matters out here. She fought to bring Navajo County more resources to crack down on criminal smugglers, and she delivered. Ann will give rural Arizona a strong voice in Washington."
Gila County Sheriff John Armer: "We know Ann well in Gila County -- she has always been there for us and listened to the needs of law enforcement. In Congress, she fought to help us secure the resources to build a new jail, which we greatly needed. We need more leaders like Ann, who put their district first and don't waste time on partisan games."
Coconino County Sheriff Bill Pribil: "Ann's a trailblazer in law enforcement -- she became Coconino County's first female Deputy County Attorney and built a strong record of cracking down on criminals and keeping our community safe. Ann works so well with law enforcement because she's walked in our shoes. We need her back in Congress."
