It’s that time of year again for the Southern Arizona Homebuilders Association (SAHBA) to host its annual Fall Home & Garden Show. This year, the event will be held on Oct. 18, Oct. 19 and Oct. 20 at the Tucson Convention Center.
On Friday and Saturday, the show, which will feature hundreds of exhibitors will be open to the public between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. On the final day, the doors will be open to the public between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
This is Tucson’s largest home and garden show, with an aim of educating and entertaining the public.
The show brings the latest in home improvement trends, remodeling ideas and outdoor living.
Admission to the special event is $8, half price is charged for visitors who are 50 years and older on Friday, Oct. 18.
Military discounts are available all days. Children 12 and under are free.
Many guests spend on average more three hours at SAHBA’s Home Shows. Hundreds of exhibitors take over at the Tucson Convention Center where visitors can find an array of new and innovative home improvement products for indoor and outdoor living areas.
Besides just walking around and learning from the hundreds of vendors, participants will also have a large choice of workshops and educational events to join.
Some of the workshops will be hosted by local businesses, along major corporations.
Michaels Stores, Inc.
Michaels Craft Stores will be on hand at the home show with their demonstration experts all three days from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come learn how to knit and crochet, make jewelry and beads, scrapbook and get some baking hints.
Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the Michaels experts and pick up coupons for all Michaels stores.
Bring the children to the Michaels stage in the ballroom from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 and Sunday, Oct. 20.
BBQ4U is celebrating more than 20 years of providing tri-tip for the SAHBA Home Show. The popular food provider will be in their usual location in the food court outside in the TCC firelane.
Mad Science on Saturday
On Saturday only, the SAHBA Stage is Mad Science. This is considered a must see for children, but the adults will also be entertained.
Mad Science of Pima County has been edu-taining the children of Southern Arizona since 1996. They bring high-energy hands-on science for kids between the ages of 5 and 12.
Central pet experience and stage
Central Pet will take over the arena with their Central Pet Experience and the Central Pet Stage. At Central Pet Experience agility training will be running all weekend and see The Animal Experts and their critters they have on hand, found in our own backyards. Pima Animal Care Center will be there with pet adoptions every day.
The Spring Home Show saw more than 30 pet adoptions, making the SAHBA Home Show the largest offsite pet adoption effort.
Dr. Randy Aronson of PAWS
Dr. Randy Aronson of PAWS Veterinary Center has dedicated his professional life to providing innovative veterinary care for companion animals of Arizona. Dr. Aronson augments his for more than 30 years of traditional veterinary experience, as both a practice owner and accomplished practitioner, through the completion and certification in complementary modalities. These therapies include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and physical rehabilitation therapy.

Home Depot home services stage
Home Depot does it up big, as a Major Sponsor of the SAHBA Home Show, their stage and booths in the exhibit hall will be busy all weekend. With participation from all local Tucson Home Depot Stores, there will be games, activities and giveaways all three days of the show.
On Saturday only, visit Home Depot at the show for Little Helper Headquarters and participate in their children’s clinics where kids build, learn, create and have fun. This free hands-on workshop designed for children ages 5 year through 12 teaches children do-it-yourself skills, tool safety and instill a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Live broadcasts by Rosie on the House
Rosie on the House will be at the home show all weekend. Check out their booth in the exhibit hall 1029.
Rosie On The House is Arizona’s top radio home improvement show. It airs Saturday mornings on radio station KNST in Tucson, but also airs in Phoenix, Sedona, and the Prescott quad-city area.
Host Rosie Romero started in the remodeling industry in 1972. Since 1989, Rosie On The House has helped this Cajun carpenter share his down-to-earth approach to happy home ownership with tens of thousands of Arizonans.
