Around 2:00 a.m. on September 12, Pima County Sheriff deputies responded to an apartment complex in the 1900 block of West Magee Road, reference a shots heard call.
When deputies arrived, they heard a gunshot and began a coordinated search to locate the shooting suspect.
During the search, deputies located a man in an apartment that matched the description of the suspect who was later identified as 26-year-old Michael Albert Mesaros.
Detectives later learned that he intentionally fired his weapon at the first patrol vehicle to arrive.
