Digital mammography —now available at Rancho Vistoso Urgent Care and Outpatient Services — produces electronic images of the breast, allowing radiologists to magnify, brighten or adjust the image on screen to help see the breast more clearly.
Rancho Vistoso Outpatient Services is also a certified Softer Touch Mammogram provider, a distinction given to only a select number of healthcare facilities, a release said. Using a personal MammoPad® — a soft foam breast cushion — for each patient provides patients “with a warmer, softer and more comfortable mammogram experience while not interfering with the image quality of the mammogram.”
In addition to offering appointments Monday-Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Rancho Vistoso Urgent Care and Outpatient Services also offers digital mammograms on Wednesdays until 5:30 p.m., and on the second Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Appointments can be made through Oro Valley Hospital’s central scheduling by calling 520-469-8810.
