The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks and Sahuaro Cougars finished last night's game in a 2-2 draw after two 10-minute overtime periods.
Sahuaro led 1-0 at halftime after a goal by Misti Ruiz in the 13th minute.
Madison Mceldowney answered for the Nighthawks just 30 seconds into the second half. After a foul inside the box, her penalty kick found the bottom right corner of the net to even the score.
Sahuaro's Jasmine Simmons countered when her shot from about 40 yards out sailed over the head of Nighthawks' goalkeeper Megan Logue.
Then, Victoria Cooper showed she could do the same thing, booting in a free kick from 40 yards to even the score for Ironwood Ridge, and send it into overtime, where neither team managed to score again.
