The Mountain View baseball team halted a two-game skid with a 6-2, come from behind win over Maricopa on Tuesday afternoon.

The host Mountain Lions trailed 2-1 heading into the home half of the sixth inning, but their bats came alive and they scored five runs to take the lead for good.

Maricopa took the lead with a two-run second inning and after Mountain View answered with a lone run in the bottom half of the inning, neither team would score until the sixth.

Lions starter Carlos Lopez went the distance, scattering five hits over seven innings. He struck out six on his way to the win.

Tim Coyne had a pair of hits, as well as a run scoring sacrifice fly. He had two RBIs on the day. Brandon Hyatt scored twice for Mountain View.

The Mountain Lions next play at Poston Butte on April 22.
