Kristen Linaman, left, a first-year teacher at Ironwood Elementary in the Marana Unified School District, recently was awarded a $250 grant from Delta Kappa Gamma Society International to use toward teacher supplies. Chapter president Gloria Day, who is a retired MUSD teacher, stopped by the school to present the check. The Delta Kappa Gamma Society was founded in 1929. It exists to promote professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.
