Pusch Ridge 1

In keeping with tradition at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, seventh graders got gooed, had fun and helped a local charity. On Jan. 14, the students donned plastic gloves and formed a sandwich-making assembly line, at right, to produce 200 sack lunches that were then distributed to the homeless through Gospel Rescue Mission. The kids’ families donated the food items. A highlight of the evening was the puff-ball challenge, during which students tossed puffed cheeseballs onto their classmates’ faces that were covered with shaving cream. The student who got the most balls to stick, won. Gwen Alter, Lake Mehalic and Daniel Rivers, pictured above, were on the receiving end of the team-building and laugh-causing competition. “Our Lock Under was definitely a team-building event,” said seventh-grade class president Olivia Cain. “We don’t get to have fun and laugh at each other like this every day. We also came together to help feed hungry people in Tucson, which was a simple reminder of how easy it is to help someone less fortunate than we are.”
