On August 13, 2014, at approximately 12:55 AM, Deputies with the Foothills Patrol District responded to a reported shooting in the 5100 block of North Shannon Road. Upon arrival, they found a 26-year-old male, later identified as Peter Koepnick, with a gunshot wound to his head and face. The Northwest Fire Department provided initial treatment for Mr. Koepnick at the scene. He was then transported to the University of Arizona Medical Center where he remains in serious condition.
