Today at approximately 10:55 a.m. deputies from the Tucson Mountain District were dispatched to respond to the 2300 block of North Reservation Road and West Mile Wide Road in reference to a possible homicide.

Upon arrival, deputies found what appeared to be a deceased adult male laying on the west side of the roadway.

The initial call was received from the Bureau of Land Management Rangers and United States Customs and Border Protection Agents. They advised workers cutting grass along the roadside found the victim and flagged them down.

When they responded and found the deceased victim, they immediately called the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

Homicide Unit detectives responded for further investigation.

At this time, they are advising the victim died from obvious signs of trauma. They estimate the victim was probably not at this location for more than 24 hours.

Detectives are asking that anyone with information of any suspicious activity in the area within the last 24 hours please call 911 or 88-CRIME (882-7463).
