In most cases, Obama's speeches are merely staged performances cloaked in hyperbole and rhetoric, with little substance. Also, as VP Joe Biden recently stated, this administration would prefer to retain the accolades and support of what they consider the "legitimate media." The state of much of the mainstream media is so dismal these days. They are stuck with an inept leftist administration of their own creation, largely a wishful fantasy of a Camelot existing in the collective liberal conscience. Obama will give another speech tonight. Regardless of his disregard of other intelligent solutions for the nation's ills, his supporters in the media and in his party will, like thoughtless sheep, follow their leader. The Teflon president will not face the hard questions. The media has reserved the tough questions for Republicans, but the Emperor will be spared again, and democracy loses another round.
