Last week, the SaddleBrooke homeowner’s association No. 1 joined other local businesses in pledging their support to those serving in the National Guard and Reserve by signing a Statement of Support Certificate.

Bruce Hamilton, a representative for the Employer Support of The Guard and Reserve (ESGR), was present to speak a little bit about what they do.

Currently, ESGR has 4,500 volunteers across the U.S. with 59 volunteers in Arizona.

The main goal of ESGR is to support employers and employees who are deployed while serving in the National Guard and Reserve by briefing their respective bosses. ESGR also takes bosses on outings so they can see what exactly their employee does. It also provides legal assistance when an employer discriminates an employee for serving or being deployed for the Guard or Reserve.
