The Tucson Police Department seeks public assistance with identifying a female bank robbery suspect. On June 18 at 1:46 p.m., officers from Operations Division Midtown responded to the Tucson Healthcare Affiliates Federal Credit Union, located at 5280 East Grant Road, after an employee called 911 to report that a robbery had just occurred.
Officers arrived within five minutes of their initial dispatch. Upon arrival, the officers confirmed that the suspect had left prior to their arrival and that no one inside the bank had been injured during the incident.
Detectives from the Robbery Unit responded to assist with the investigation. They learned that an unknown female entered the bank and approached the teller counter. She presented a note to the teller, demanding money and threatening harm. The note also implied that she had a weapon. After she was given an undisclosed amount of money, the female left the bank and was last seen headed in a southbound direction.
The female suspect has been described as a Hispanic or Caucasian female, approximately 40 years old, 5, feet, 06 inches tall, weighing 250 pounds, with long, wavy dark hair, and noticeable acne scars. She was last seen wearing a white blouse with a black and red design and black or dark colored dress pants. She was carrying a large black purse as well as a green piece of clothing.
Anyone having information about the female’s identity or whereabouts is asked to call 911 or 88-Crime.
