The Pride All-Starz Gym is hosting a fundraiser that will go toward the Justin McCarthy Contreras recovery fund on Saturday.

On Saturday, Jan. 14, the gym will host a cheer camp where they will be teaching participants dance, cheer, jumps and stunts. All participants will receive a t-shirt, snack and beverage. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., and performances will begin at 6:15 p.m.

All proceeds will go toward the Justin McCarthy Contreras Recovery Fund.

Contreras, a 2010 Ironwood Ridge High School graduate, was severely injured on Dec. 12 in a motorcycle accident in Nicaragua.

Sustaining a severe head injury, Contreras has since been flown back to Tucson, where he is being treated at the University Medical Center.

Rose Miranda, of All Starz Gym, said Contreras was a member of the gym for years, and they want to help the family in raising funds that will go toward medical bills, which includes a $48,000 air ambulance bill that brought him back to the United States.

Pre-registration is ongoing between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Monetary donations will be accepted and payable to the Justin McCarthy Contreras Recovery Fund.

All Starz Gym is located at 3970 W. Ina Road, Suite 100.

For more information, call Miranda 520-572-8981.
