Marana residents interested in running for Town Council next year are invited to a candidate orientation Oct. 30 from 5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Marana Municipal Complex Council Chambers (11555 W. Civic Center Dr.).
Candidates will learn about filing papers, campaign finance reports, open meeting law, political signs and ballot measures for publicity pamphlets. They also will have the opportunity to ask questions of the Town Clerk’s Office.
Four seats will be contested in the primary election March 12 and, if necessary, the general election May 21.
Next year marks the first all-mail election in Marana. Limited polling locations will be open election day for ballot drop-off.
