ORO VALLEY

On Friday, May 30, at 9:46 a.m., Oro Valley police spoke to a woman over the phone about a sex offense. The woman told police that about 15 minutes prior, she received a blocked phone call on her work cellphone. The man said that her picture on Twitter looked amazing and that he would really like to rape her. He told the woman, “If you come to Seattle, I can’t wait to rape you.” Police told the woman to contact her service provider to phone the number that called her, or to have it blocked as an incoming call. Police also told the woman to watch her Twitter feed for unusual activity.

On Wednesday, May 28, at about 11 a.m., Oro Valley police responded to a report of vandalism at a house on the 11000 block of North Skywire Way. The victim told police that there was a large swastika on his garage door made out of duct tape. He said it happened some time between 9 and 11 a.m. He said he did not know of anyone who would do it, but did mention to police that he was Jewish. Additional police came to process the scene. Photos were taken and the duct tape was taken and put into evidence.

On Sunday, May 25, at 1:42 p.m., Oro Valley police responded to a report of fraud at a house on the 13000 block of North Willow Bend Drive. The homeowner told police that a few days prior he received a call from a man who said he was with Microsoft and needed access to his personal computer for a system upgrade. The man gave the person on the phone the requested information along with a payment of $299.99. He said his computer, during the course of the following few days, began working strangely and will now not work at all. Police told the man he had been a victim of fraud and needed to contact his bank and credit card companies.
