Cortaro Road to close for construction on railroad

Ames Construction Inc. will be closing the train track crossing at Cortaro Road to perform construction for Union Pacific Railroad.

The closure begins Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. and lasts until Nov. 18 at 4 p.m. Motorists looking to cross the tracks will be detoured to Ina or Twin Peaks road via Thornydale, Oldfather or Hartman road when approaching from the east side of the crossing or via the I-10 frontage roads when approaching from the westbound I-10 frontage road or west of the crossing.

Businesses near the tracks will remain open and accessible.

In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen conditions, the schedule may be delayed.
