This morning at approximately 8:43 a.m., deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's office responded to the 4700 blk. of East Sunrise Drive and North Camino Esplendora for a reported suspicious person.
The Catalina Foothills High School student told deputies she was standing near the Valero when she was approached by a male subject in a vehicle who asked her if she needed a ride.
According to the teen, this same suspect has attempted contact with her four times over the last year, and has also approached other students from Catalina Foothills High School.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his early to mid 30s. He has a medium build, and dirty strawberry blonde hair. He also has a full beard, about quarter-inch, which is also dirty strawberry blonde. The suspect has light colored eyes.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has responded to calls in reference to this same suspect in the last year, and taken the reports very seriously. Although a search has been conducted, little additional information is known about the suspect and there have been no substantial leads.
The suspect is known to drive either a Honda or Toyota 4DSD, beige or tan in color. The vehicle is an older model “boxy” looking vehicle with no tint.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
