Josh Wright has resigned from his position as director of strategic initiatives for the town of Marana to become the town manager of Wickenburg.
His last day is Nov. 8.
Wright has served in his current position since February, overseeing the town's economic development and tourism, intergovernmental affairs, communications and marketing, strategic planning and special events departments.
Wright has worked his way up through the ranks at Marana. He started as a management intern in May 2006, and was named the interim building services administrator the following March. He took over as the assistant to the town manager in January 2007.
He holds bachelor of arts degrees in psychology and religious studies from the University of Arizona.
